The Zygarde Cube is a key item used to hold Zygarde Cells needed to change the form of Zygarde.
The Zygarde Cube is earned by completing the 3rd step of the Special Research From A to Zygarde. Once obtained, collectable Zygarde Cells start appearing while traveling on Routes. It cannot be removed from the item bag.
The Zygarde Cube has a maximum Zygarde Cell storage limit of 250. If more Zygarde Cells are attempted to be collected, they will not be added to the Zygarde Cube.

An Item in which Zygarde Cells are gathered. You can use it to change Zygarde's form. It can hold up to 250 Zygarde Cells.

Zygarde Cells are small, collectible items that are used to change Zygarde's form. Once the Zygarde Cube is unlocked, Zygarde Cells start appearing while traveling on Routes as green glimmers of light. They typically appear towards the end of a Route, but can appear anytime typically after walking around 500 meters. Once tapped on, they can award 1, 2, or 3 Zygarde Cells. Only 3 Zygarde Cells in total can be obtained on any given day. Zygarde Cells only have a chance of appearing from each individual Route the first time it is followed on any given day.
50 Zygarde Cells are needed to change Zygarde's form from 10% Forme to 50% Forme. 200 Zygarde Cells are needed to change from 50% Forme to Complete Forme.
