- Zapdos was originally planned to learn Discharge, but it was removed before Zapdos was released.
- The Zapdos raids in September 2020 were pushed early by few hours.[10]
- Zapdos is the mascot Pokémon of Team Instinct and its silhouette features in the Team Instinct emblem
. - On its original release, the Shiny sprite and model was used for the standard version of Zapdos instead of the correct assets.[11] To fix this, Niantic created a new version for Shiny Zapdos with more saturated colors.
