Zamazenta is a Fighting-type Legendary Pokémon from the Galar region. It does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon. It has two forms namely Hero of Many Battles and Crowned Shield that can be changed. Crowned Shield form is Fighting, Steel-type. Along with Zacian, it is a member of the Hero Duo.

- Crowned Shield Zamazenta stats were initially nerfed, but the changes were reverted before release.[6][7]
- Crowned Shield Zamazenta cannot be traded, nor can they be transferred to Pokémon HOME. Traded Zamazenta can form change at no cost if it was previously form changed from the sender.
- Upon completion of a Crowned Shield Zamazenta raid, a message "Zamazenta reverted to its Hero of Many Battles form." is displayed.
