Disclaimer: I know height and weight has no bearing on anything else at the moment. I've just been gathering so much of it that I couldn't help but get interested in this.
Also: when I say "normal", I mean there is neither an XS or XL designation on the Pokemon's weight or height. This is also how the wiki labels it.
I've been keeping an eye on all screenshots of Pokemon posted to pretty much anywhere I can get to - Facebook, Discord, Reddit, making my friends send them to me, my own Pokemon, etc. I've been using this information to gather the ranges of height and weight for XS, normal, and XL. This is what I've noticed.
1. Every starter Pokemon seems to be either XL or XS in both height and weight. Along with that, it also seems to be farthest on the spectrum of those it can be. By that, I mean the XS is as small as it can be, and the XL is as big as it can be.
2. I have never seen an XL evolution of Eevee, until today. Eevee itself, yeah, a regular amount of all sizes. Once you evolve it though, it seems to stick mostly to XS, with only a few as normal (weight more than height). Today, the miracle happened. Someone on Discord posted this picture. Finally, an XL! The kicker: he caught it in the wild. This leads me to believe that evolved Eevees will always be XS or normal, but wild can (or perhaps only) be XL.
I write this blog to hopefullu get some more proof, so we can place this on the wiki as a fact. So this is what I ask of you:
- Check your starters. Tell me if they are like I've seen: both XL or XS in height and weight.
- Check your eeveelutions. Tell me if you can confirm you see mostly XS, with only a few normals, in either height or weight. If you see an XL, let me know if you remember where you got it (evolved or wild). If you have one you know for sure you caught in the wild, send me a screenshot (imgur link works fine).
Let's nail this down guys! I really think I have something going with this.
