In general, Unown is extremely rare Pokémon all around the world, but there are certain regional events, such as Pokémon GO Safari Zone, during which spawnrate of certain forms Unowns was higher. - Unown was released with the main release of Johto-region Pokémon on February 16th, 2017.
- In the wild, maximum capture CP of Unown is 1,015, however it can reach 1,100, if encountered Pokémon is boosted by current weather.
- Initially, there were 26 unique forms of Unown available in Pokémon GO, one for each letter of the alphabet.
- Exclamation mark Unown was firstly released in June, 2018, during the E3, and question mark Unown was firstly released in August, 2018, during the Pokémon GO Fest.
- Considerably, Unown is the most highly prized possession in the game making it a huge stepping stone for players.
- Unown often spawns in inaccessible areas, making it very hard to find. Only the most dedicated players would find this Pokémon.
- The spawnrate of Unown in the wild is estimated to be ×27.5 rarer than Tyranitar, and an estimated ×42.3 rarer than Dragonite, which are often seen as the rarest species in the game.
- Exclamation and question mark Unown forms are counted in unique Unown caught in medals, making it possible to obtain the gold medal without completing the alphabet.
