Transform is a Normal-type fast attack. Upon entering battle, Transform turns the user into a copy of the opponent.
When used in Team GO Rocket battles or when facing an enemy Ditto, instead of transforming, Transform would act as a regular fast attack that deals damage, but does not generate energy.

Trivia[]
- Transform copies copies types, attacks, and appearances, including shiny and/or best buddy status (in gym battles, once copied, Ditto would remain in that form for following battles). Health, level, IVs, and name are not copied.
- Ditto always appears as Ditto during gym loading (however, shiny/best buddy status remains copied, resulting in the appearance of a shiny/best buddy Ditto when copying a previous opponent, even if it is not shiny/best buddy itself), gym battle end, and raid end screens. Type icons also remain copied throughout those screens.
- When copying gym defenders, low motivation CP decay is ignored.
- In raid battles, Ditto turns into a copy of the raid boss Pokémon (including copying Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion) using its own health, level, and IVs. The damage boost to specified types also get copied.
- In Gym battles, Transform copies both of the opponent's Charged Attacks only if Ditto is first in the battle party and the first defending Pokémon has a second Charged Attack unlocked. Otherwise, only the first Charged Attack is copied, even if the defending Pokémon has unlocked a second Charged Attack.
- Transform copies the auras of Purified and Shadow Pokémon during a Gym battle. The aura disappears during loading screens, but Ditto will retain the more menacing expression of Shadow Pokémon, despite Ditto not having a Shadow form yet.
- Transform copies costumes, but only during battle.
