
Tickets are items that grant a Trainer access to special features during particular in-game event, mainly Special Research task series. They happen to be available for purchase from the Shop using real-life currency, before and during the specific events.
Currently there are two different designs of event these tickets:
- pink - Special Research campaigns
- navy-blue - Pokémon GO Fest 2020.

Pink ticket

This is the first design of a ticket item with a dominant pink color and accent light-blue color. Following events were using this ticket:
A Colossal Discovery
The ticket for A Colossal Discovery cost US$7.99 (or local currency equivalent + any applicable taxes and fees). [1][2] Trainers could purchase the ticket to receive Special Research – A Colossal Discovery if they turned on the game during local time 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 2nd, 2019. Regigigas was a main encounter reward for this Special Research.

- A ticket to access the "A Colossal Discovery" special event on November 2, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, wherever you are. Details can be found in the in-game News.
- YOU MUST PLAY DURING THE SPECIFIED TIME TO RECEIVE ALL SPECIAL EVENT BONUSES.
A Drive to Investigate
The ticket for A Drive to Investigate cost US$7.99 (or local currency equivalent + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers could purchase the ticket to receive Special Research – A Drive to Investigate if they turned on the game during local time from March 20th, 2020, 8 a.m. to March 26th, 2020, 10 p.m. Genesect was a main encounter reward for this Special Research.

The ticket for Investigating Illusions cost US$1 (or the equivalent in local currency + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers who bought it got access to bonus Special Research for Abra Community Day.

Seeing Double
The ticket for Seeing Double cost US$1 (or the equivalent in local currency + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers who bought it got access to bonus Special Research for Seedot Community Day.

The Great Gastly
The ticket for The Great Gastly cost US$1 (or the equivalent in local currency + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers who bought it got access to bonus Special Research for Gastly Community Day.

The ticket for Making a Splash cost US$1 (or the equivalent in local currency + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers who bought it got access to bonus Special Research for Magikarp Community Day.

Blue ticket

This is the second design of a ticket item with a dominant navy-blue color and accent white and yellow colors. Following events were using this ticket:
Pokémon GO Fest 2020
The ticket for GO Fest 2020 cost US$14.99 (or the equivalent in local currency + any applicable taxes and fees). Trainers who will buy this ticket get access to Pokémon GO Fest 2020 features and a bonus Special Research campaign.
