Trivia[]
- Machop spawnrate was increased during this event despite being a Kanto Pokémon. This was probably because the Timed Research required to catch a Fighting-type Pokémon. However, the only Johto Fighting-type Pokémon are Heracross (which is region-exclusive), Tyrogue (which is not available in the wild) and Hitmontop.
- The final part of the Timed Research was planned to give 10 Rare Candies, but it in fact gave 5 for some reason. Niantic apologized that and compensated 5 Rare Candies at the start of Throwback Challenge 2020: Hoenn Timed Research.
