Features

Trainers had a chance to encounter Snorlax sleeping, or laying down, in the wild, much like the picture states.
Exclusive move
Exclusive move
In order to obtain Yawn, Trainers had to evolve Munchlax into Snorlax[2], or caught Snorlax in wild during the event. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attack.
Trivia
- This is a tie-in event with announcement of Pokémon Sleep at the Pokémon 2019 Press Conference.[1]
- In this event, sleeping Snorlax did not attack in encounter screen nor flee. However, the first two Poké Balls thrown at Snorlax always failed to catch it. They were not deducted from the Trainer's inventory. The throws did not affect first throw bonus and streak in research tasks either.[3]
- This glitch was fixed in 0.145.0 update.[4]
- Sleeping Snorlax was a guaranteed catch on the Pokémon GO Plus.[5]
