Secrets of the Jungle Event in 2020 was the first event in Pokémon GO to celebrate the release of the Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. It celebrates the release of the movie in Japan. A second event with the same name occurred in 2021 to celebrate the release of the movie worldwide.

This event introduced the first shiny non-transferable Mythical Pokémon - Celebi and the return of Jessie and James.^[1]

Pokémon Spotlight Hour featuring Explorer Pikachu was available during this event.
