In order to obtain Techno Blast, Sacred Sword, Bleakwind Storm, Wildbolt Storm, Sandsear Storm, Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt, Trainers had to catch Genesect, the Swords of Justice trio, Therian Forme Tornadus, Therian Forme Thundurus, Therian Forme Landorus, Reshiram and Zekrom respectively during the event. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attacks.

- Due to an issue where completing raids would sometimes not progress Timed Research tasks, a copy of the Road to Unova: Raids Timed Research with all the tasks automatically completed was issued during the event. Players who purchased the Road to Unova: Raids ticket also recieved a copy of the Road to Unova: Raids Premium Timed Research with all the tasks automatically completed during the event.[3]
