- Between November 5th and November 6th, 2018, Ponyta's spawn rate in the wild was significantly higher during the Ingress Prime Celebration.
- Between February 4th and February 13th, 2019, Ponyta's spawn rate in the wild was significantly higher during the Lunar New Year.
- Since April 26th, 2019, Ponyta can be hatched from 5-km Eggs with a 969 of maximal CP.
- From July 6th, 2016 to Spring, 2018, Ponyta used to be a possible hatchling from 5-km Eggs.
- From December 18th, 2018 to February 13th, 2019, Ponyta used to be a possible hatchling from 5-km Eggs.
- As a former 1st tier Raid Boss, Ponyta's CP was 5,399. Its maximum capture CP in Bonus Challenge was 969 and 1,212 when encountered Pokémon was boosted by weather.
