Pokémon Spotlight Hour is an occasional event that features increased spawnrate of Pokémon in the wild.[1] It occurs on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in local time zone.

Since April 2020, Pokémon Spotlight Hour is combined with Mystery Bonus Hour, featuring both a Pokémon and a special bonus.[2]

Trivia

  • This event was canceled on February 25th, 2020.[5]
  • This event is canceled on June 2nd, 2020.[6] It is likely because of the global downtime on June 1st, from around 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT.[7]
  • Pokémon Spotlight Hours on March 3rd, 10th and 17th, 2020 were canceled in Japan, South Korea and Italy due to the coronavirus outbreak.[8]
