In order to obtain Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, Trainers had to catch Origin Forme Dialga or Palkia respectively during the event. In order to obtain featured moves for evolutions, Trainers had to catch or evolve into those Pokémon during the event. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attacks.

Choosing Diamond Version guaranteed all Origin Forme Dialga would be caught knowing Roar of Time. Choosing Pearl Version guaranteed all Origin Forme Palkia would be caught knowing Spacial Rend. These special moves were not guaranteed to be obtained when catching the opposite version's Origin Forme.
