Pokémon GO Fest: Global was the final part of the Pokémon GO Fest 2024.[1] The event is part of Global Challenge.
Purchasing a ticket to the global event before May 6th, 2024, would grant the Timed Research A Glimpse of Daylight. Purchasing one before June 6th, 2024, would grant the Timed Research The Rise of Moonlight.

Pokémon in wildThese Pokémon had increased spawn rates in the wild and from Incense or Lure Modules. There were four themed habitats featuring different Pokémon on Day 1. On Day 2 all Pokémon appeared at any time.

Sun crown Pikachu would photobomb during Dawn Meadow and Shining Day, while Moon crown Pikachu would photobomb during Creeping Dusk and Darkest Night. On Day 2, these Pokémon could photobomb throughout the event. One photobomb per day for non-ticket holders. Five photobombs per day for ticket holders.
These Raid Bosses were available during the event. All Raids appeared with no eggs, and the Raid time was 25 minutes. Pikachu would rotate with habitats.

In order to obtain Blast Burn, Draco Meteor, Hydro Cannon, Earth Power, Frenzy Plant, Breaking Swipe, or Brutal Swing, Trainers had to catch or evolve Charmeleon, Dragonair, Marshtomp, Gabite, Servine, Fraxure, or Zweilous into Charizard, Dragonite, Swampert, Garchomp, Serperior, Haxorus, or Hydreigon respectively during the event. In order to obtain Last Resort, Trainers had to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon during the event; wild Espeon and Umbreon were not caught with Last Resort. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attacks.

Global Challenge Arena and Ultra Unlock[]
Similarly to the previous GO Fest editions and their Ultra Bonus Events, this year there was an Ultra Unlock series of events planned to occur after players completed a number of challenges in the Global Challenge Arena.[2]
If 20 Global Challenges were completed in the global event, a set of extra bonuses would be available:

Compensation Timed Research[]
Due to an issue where Special Backgrounds could not be obtained from remote raids done during Day 1, compensation Timed Researches were later issued on August 26th, 2024, that awarded encounters with Ultra Beasts and Necrozma with guaranteed Special Backgrounds.[3] The Timed Researches were titled Ultra Beast Encounter: [1-16] [Pokémon Name]. The number of encounters was equal to the number of Special Backgrounds that would have been received during the affected time period, rounded up. If more than 16 were to be received, extra copies of the Timed Researches were given out. The Timed Researches were available to claim until December 31st, 2025.
