Professor Willow dialogue
1st Part
- TRAINER, great to see you!
- And what perfect timing—the Wish Pokémon Jirachi is in the area!
- Hoenn legends say that Jirachi can grant any wish that people desire, though it’s only awake for only seven days out of a thousand years.
- But considering there were local Jirachi sightings just a few years ago---well under a thousand years!---I hypothesize there’s something special about this Jirachi.
- We’ll only learn what it is once we locate Jirachi ourselves!
- There’s no rush, but we do have a lot of ground to cover.
- I recommend we start the search by researching Pokémon from the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions.
- Which familiar Pokémon stand out in your mind, TRAINER?
2nd Part
- Welcome back, TRAINER! Seeing you catch so many Pokémon really made me think about how much you’ve grown in your journey as a Trainer.
- Another thing I was just thinking...I sure wish we could find Jirachi!
- ... ...
- Jirachi’s not granting that particular wish, huh? Sigh…alright. It was worth a shot.
- Ahem. That’s enough of my personal wishes for a while! Let’s talk about your wishes, TRAINER, or more specifically, your Pokémon’s wishes!
- If your Pokémon could have one of their dreams come true, what do you think they’d ask for? To spend some time together, or to maybe share a tasty snack?
- Take a breather to be your Pokémon’s own wishmaker, while I noodle on more ways to locate Jirachi, TRAINER!
3rd Part
- You and your Pokémon are looking refreshed and ready to continue the search for Jirachi, TRAINER!
- Something occurred to me while you were away—Jirachi was originally discovered in the Hoenn region, as you may already know.
- But it’s not the only elusive Pokémon first found in that region.
- It shares that honor with Kecleon, the Color Swap Pokémon! Kecleon is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings.
- There is one exception—this Pokémon can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly. It’s not easy, but looking for that distinctive pattern is the key to spotting Kecleon.
- I was years into my Pokémon studies before I came across my first Kecleon.
- Have you come across a Kecleon before? You might even have been right next to one without knowing!
- I’ve heard Trainers have had a lot of luck finding Kecleon around PokéStops. Maybe Jirachi’s taken up the same proclivity for hiding places!
4th Part
- You’ve got sharp eyes, TRAINER! I’ve never seen so many Kecleon in one place before—it’s rare to see any Kecleon at all, with their expert camouflaging skills.
- Unfortunately for us, it’s starting to seem like Jirachi might be even harder to spot than Kecleon.
- Nothing to lose steam over, though! Keeping your confidence and spirits high are key in research and in life, I say.
- Maybe what we need is a little dash of luck to move us ahead.
- And where better to get it than a Lucky Pokémon, eh, TRAINER?
5th Part
- Hey there TRAINER! Feeling any luckier with your new Pokémon?
- I know I am! I’ve got a good feeling that Jirachi is closer than ever.
- Let’s give it another push with some good old fashioned, boots on the ground exploring!
- Let's take some inspiration from Jirachi's sleep schedule.
- As you know, Jirachi sleeps for a thousand years, and wakes up for seven days.
- So how about you try dedicating seven days to research? Or maybe even catching a thousand Pokémon? I know it's a lot to ask, but maybe Jirachi will appreciate the perseverance.
- I hope you’ll be around to help me with my research for a lot longer than a week though, TRAINER!
6th Part
- TRAINER, you did it—you’ve found our elusive Jirachi!
- It was no easy task, but you persevered through thick and thin. You’ve done me proud again!
- It seems our new friend really is different from the Jirachi seen a few years ago. This is a Shiny Jirachi, as I’m sure you’ve noticed from its unique coloring!
- Do Jirachi of this coloring have different habits? Does its sleep schedule differ? What about its temperament?
- Ahem. Sorry about that. It’s hard to contain my excitement when I think about all there is to learn about Pokémon!
- In fact, I’m wishing for us to have lots more adventures together just like this one, TRAINER!
