Lunar New Year in 2019 is the second Lunar New Year event in Pokémon GO.

Features

For the duration of the event, XP for capturing and evolving Pokémon was doubled. Additionally, when Pokémon were traded, there was an increased chance they would become Lucky Pokémon.

To celebrate the new year, 12 Pokémon that symbolize a zodiac of the Chinese lunar calendar spawned more frequently in the wild.^[1]
