Luminous Legends Y was the second of two events in Pokémon GO based on Kalos Legendary Pokémon , this one being for Yveltal .[1]
Two Pokémon Spotlight Hours featuring Alolan Rattata and Marill respectively, and a Special Weekend were available during this event.
The event was split into two parts. The first part contained a Global Challenge that influenced rewards and spawns in the second part.

During this event Team GO Rocket Balloons could appear in a four-hour window instead of six-hour (from 00:00 to 03:59, 04:00 to 07:59 and so on), thus Trainer had a chance to encounter six balloons a day.
