Lugia is a Psychic, Flying-type Legendary Pokémon from the Johto region. It does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Along with Ho-Oh, it is a member of the Tower Duo.

Diving Pokémon
Lugia's wings pack devastating power—a light fluttering of its wings can blow apart regular houses. As a result, this Pokémon chooses to live out of sight deep under the sea.

  • Lugia was the first Legendary Pokémon (along with Articuno) and shiny Legendary Pokémon released in the game.
  • Lugia silhouette features in the EX Raid Battle/Elite Raid Battle emblem, but Lugia has never been in EX Raid Battle/Elite Raid Battles.
  • Lugia raid in March 2020 was originally lasting from 27th to 30th only.[10] It was first extended from 24th to 31st due to the COVID-19 pandemic[11], then canceled.[12]
  • Lugia raid in 2023 was originally announced to end on April 10th[13], it was later changed to April 11th.[14]
