  • The amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased. The amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered.

  • Egg & Incubator Screens: These will periodically update the distance walked without the Trainer needing to close and reopen the screen.
  • Fixed several audio issues.

  • Added a dialog to remind Trainers that they should not play while traveling above a certain speed; Trainers will have to indicate they aren’t the driver.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented "Nice," "Great," and "Excellent" Poké Ball throws from awarding the appropriate XP bonuses.
  • Enabled the ability for Trainers to change their nickname one time, so please choose your new nickname wisely.
  • Resolved issues with the battery saver mode on iOS and re-enabled the feature.

iOS changes only
  • Added visuals of Team leaders - Candela, Blanche, and Spark.
  • Beta testing of a variation of the "Nearby Pokémon" feature with a subset of users. During this period players might see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI.
Noted changes
  • The Nearby screen has an image of grass behind the Pokémon.
  • Nearby is now called "Sightings".
    • Sightings seems to update immediately based on spawns and despawns.
    • If no Pokémon are nearby, Sightings will display the message "No sightings yet." This can be tapped to force it to update.
    • Same species of Pokémon are grouped.
  • Some players gained access to a beta testing of new Nearby feature. [12]
  • Trainer get XP for each type of throw, it no longer chooses the highest bonus, but gives all applicable bonuses.
  • Transfer text has changed slightly.
  • Egg hatch history now appears in the Journal.

  • Greater variety of Pokémon species started to appear in the wild, including areas they had not appear before.
  • Pokémon appear in the wild with the leaves animation and sound effect.
  • Numbers of resources for evolution were overhauled,requiring Trainer to take more effort.
  • Medals text fixed.
  • PokéStop symbol was slightly updated.
  • Gym badge icons are based off of Trainer's Team colors in Pokémon collection page
  • Defender Bonus on Trainer's profile page started to show how many Gyms Trainer would get credit for and it caps out at 10.
  • Each Pokémon family has its kind of Candy with different appearance to it.
  • The capture radius circle, in encounter screen, seem to be working more accurately.
  • Sliding from the bottom animation was added to Trainer's profile, Pokémon collection, Pokédex, and Item Bag pages.
  • Nearby Tab feature was reported to work properly.
  • "Glitter puddles" were changed to rustling leaves, which Seemed like they were spots with guaranteed wild Pokémon.
  • UI tweak during Gym battle – HP bars at the top of the screen side by side.
  • AR battling feature started to look and work properly.
  • Message started to be displayed, while Pokémon uses a Charged Attack during the battle.
  • Reduced time for dodging before opponent Pokémon uses a Charged Attack.

  • Pokémon's relative sizes (XS, XL) displayed next to weight and height of Pokémon on their summary pages.
  • Changes to CP arch (possibly was made linear instead of logarithmic).
  • Added Pokémon transfer feature instead of releasing Pokémon.

  • Evolution Shards were replaced with Stardust and Candy.
    • Transferring Pokémon gives 1 Candy.
    • Hatching Eggs gives around 1000 Stardust.
    • Catching Pokémon rewards Trainer with additional Stardust and Candy.
  • Gym Leader Pokémon is now placed at the top floor of the Gym and has a crown icon displayed.
  • Pokémon defedning a Gym are now displayed in the Map View turning around on top of the gym.
  • Dodging Pokémon in Gym battle was overhauled.
  • Trainer started to be awarded more Prestige Points and XP when training with a weaker Pokémon.
  • Trainer Intro was revised.
  • Multiple Potions and Revives use implemented.
  • Fixed Incense and Lucky Egg timer meters.
  • Fixed broken Pokédex layout.
