Exclusive moves (originally known as legacy moves) of Pokémon refer to the moves which are not possible to obtain for a specific Pokémon under normal circumstances. Standard Technical Machines are not able to obtain exclusive moves. Many players consider them rare and valuable for trading.
The introduction of Elite TMs and Special Attack Items enables Pokémon to learn exclusive moves at any time. However, a few Pokémon have exclusive moves that are still not able to be taught by any means. The Pokémon GO Wiki calls them true exclusive moves and they are written in italics in this list.
Exclusive moves can be classified into three types:
- Moves that are no longer available for specific Pokémon due to updates. The majority of them occurred in 2016 to early 2017.
- Moves that are only available for specific Pokémon during certain events. They can be already existing moves in the game or newly-added ones.
- Moves that are obtained along with the acquisition of Pokémon. These cannot be re-learnt if forgotten.

These moves were cut from the following Pokémon for a certain period of time, but they were added back over time.[1][2][3]
