Pokémon GO Wiki

There are various apparel and accessory customization options that can be made to a Trainer's avatar in Pokémon GO. Customization choices include the Trainer's hat, glasses, necklaces, tops, bags, gloves, belts, bottoms, socks, footwear and mask. Also, the avatar poses can be customized. Appearance can be changed at any time from the Trainer Page by tapping Style icon below the Trainer avatar view. Tops and bottoms are the only categories that are required, being the other optional. Categories necklaces and belts are exclusive from female avatars.

Some avatar items are free, while others require a specific amount of PokéCoins to be purchased. Some avatar items are shown locked in the game, because they need a certain requirement to be fulfilled to be unlocked. These requirements can be a certain Trainer level or a specific medal tier. Additionally, some avatar items do not appear in the shop until are rewarded by achieving a certain rank on GO Battle League, claim the reward from a Special Research task, or redeeming a promotional code.

For clarity purpose, each item in this list will display:

  • The avatar item asset;
  • The price to unlock the avatar item. It can be free, require PokéCoins or be part of a Ticketed event;
  • The requirement to unlock/obtain the item (if any);
  • The color variants (if any);
  • The release event or circumstance with a link for more details.

Since the Hidden Gems Season, the avatar items can be shown in the store grouped into sets.

Trivia[]

  • The promotional pictures for clothing sets based on specific Trainer Classes from the core Pokémon games feature the Pokémon GO Trainers in the same poses as these Trainer Classes in their official art.
  • The "Team Valor" variants of the Gym Leader clothing sets resemble the outfits worn by Ace Trainers in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.
    • This resemblance is further supported by the poses of the trainers in the promotional image for the set, which are identical to those of the Ace Trainers from ORAS.
