• As with Pokémon encountered as a reward for completing a Field Research task, Pokémon encountered for completing a Research Breakthrough will be level 15.
• The Pokémon encountered in Research Breakthrough is not set until claiming. If one holds off obtaining the last stamp and Breakthrough, it is possible to wait till the encounter Pokémon changes to immediately obtain the new Pokémon available.
• During Season of Discovery, the XP reward was doubled (6000).
• An extra Remote Raid Pass was included in Research Breakthrough rewards during June to July 2021.
• Originally Mega Energy for Steelix was going to be included during January 2022 but an unforeseen issue prevented this happening. Therefore it was given in Timed Research instead.
• During Season of Light, the Stardust reward was increased to 5000. One extra item was also guaranteed in each month. September gave Premium Battle Pass. October gave Incense. November gave Star Piece.
• As of April 6^th, 2023, a Remote Raid Pass was added to the pool of possible items included in Research Breakthrough rewards.
