In 2022, 76 new Pokémon species, 125 distinct regular forms, 12 Mega Evolutions and 149 shiny forms were made available to be obtained.

The following Medals became achievable for the first time:

Bronze , Silver and Gold Alola Medals.
Bronze and Silver Hisui Medals.
Silver Mega Evolution Guru Medal.

All Shiny forms of Johto-region Pokémon were released, becoming the second region to be possible to complete the Shiny Pokédex.
