Limited Research

Limited Research is a reccuring event that is hosted on a weekend, and features exclusive Research tasks that may reward a Trainer with a shiny Pokémon.

List of Limited Research weekends

• Feebas was available on January 19^th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0) in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8) in The Americas and Greenland, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9) in Asia-Pacific.^[1]
• Clamperl was available on February 23^rd, 2019 with the same event hours as Feebas.^[2]
  • 2× Catch Stardust for Water-type Pokémon.
  • Water-type Pokémon appeared more frequently.
• Lotad was available on March 30^th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m on local time zone.^[3]
  • Pokémon that appear due to weather conditions like Castform appeared more frequently.
• Minccino was available on February 2^nd, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m on local time zone.^[4]
  • Rat Pokémon appeared more frequently, including Rattata, Pikachu, Sandshrew, Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Sentret, Marill, Zigzagoon, Plusle, Minun, Bidoof, Patrat and party hat Raticate exclusively in tier 2 raids.
  • Minccino was hatching more frequently from 5-km Eggs.
• Snubbull was available on May 9^th, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
  • Due to COVID-19 pandemic, this limited research was made as a Timed Research.
