Tapping on Kecleon a few times will cause it to detach from the PokéStop and spawn on the map next to it. This also allows the Trainer to spin the PokéStop normally.

Trivia

Kecleon glitch Pokedex

Gender not displaying in Pokédex

  • After Chikorita Community Day on September 22nd, 2018, Ditto appeared in abundance disguising itself as Kecleon for players in Singapore.[2][3] Its name was replaced with "? ? ? ? ? ?" and CP was replaced with "???".
    • For players in other parts of the world, Ditto disguised itself as Meltan under the same conditions as Kecleon.
  • Kecleon is the last Pokémon from the Hoenn region to make its debut in Pokémon GO.
  • Upon its release, Kecleon's gender was not displayed in the summary page due to a bug. This has since been fixed.[4]
    • The gender of Kecleon caught before the fix was not displayed until a few days later.
