Johto Festival

Johto Festival was an event in Pokémon GO that was dedicated to Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region. In this event, the second worldwide available Special Research tasks series — A Ripple in Time with a Celebi as a reward, was made available.

Pokémon in wild

Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region were seen more frequently, so Trainers had the perfect opportunity to earn a gold Johto medal and complete their Johto Pokédex.

In the first few hours, Trainers around the world spotted the higher chance to encounter Unown in the wild.

Raid Bosses

These Raid Bosses were available during the event. The tier 1 raids were completely replaced by Johto Pokémon while other Raid Bosses were just added to the existing tiers. Ho-Oh was available again from August 25^th to August 27^th which replaced Regirock.^[1]
