January Community Day Classic was the eighty-second Community Day event, featuring Porygon. It was the ninth Community Day on the Classic format, that revisits Pokémon that have been featured on past Community Days. Porygon was first featured on the September 2020 Community Day.[1]

In order to obtain Tri Attack, Trainers had to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon-Z after the start of event and up to 2 hours after the end of event. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attack.

- According to reports, an update was added to Porygon-Z's programming that was supposed to allow it to move between dimensions. But the upgrade also caused Porygon-Z to become unstable, and it began moving erratically.
- Because the update caused instability, academics can’t seem to agree on whether Porygon-Z should be considered a true Evolution of Porygon2.
