Hoenn Celebration Event was the third Hoenn Celebration event in Pokémon GO focusing on the Hoenn Region. It was a part of Season of Celebration.[1][2][3]

In order to obtain Meteor Mash and Hurricane, Trainers had to evolve Metang into Metagross and catch Rayquaza during the event. Trainers cannot use TMs to obtain the attacks.

- The official blog made an announcement of shiny Aron, which is typically done for new-released Shiny Pokémon. However, shiny Aron had already been available together with its release in January 2018.
- During the Pokémon Spotlight Hour of this event, Trainers in the time zones GMT +11 to +14 did not receive Meteor Mash and Hurricane for Metagross and Rayquaza respectively.[5] Niantic had acknowledged this glitch and gave Elite Charged TM to affected Trainers.
