The Global Challenge event returned in 2019 and featured challenges focused on the Team Leaders: Spark, Blanche, and Candela. Each team leader was responsible for rallying Trainers to complete research both around the world and at each of the three Pokémon GO Fest events this summer. If all three teams and the event attendees met the research goals, a special bonus Raid Day would be unlocked during the bonus week. And if all goals were met by the end of summer, an even more exciting bonus would be unlocked.[1]
