Professor Willow's Global Challenge (also mentioned as Global Research) is a season-long event themed around particular goals and milestones during the summer. During the events there are "Global Research tasks" for player community with established amount of Research tasks to be done by players in specific groups. In 2017, the challenge was called Global Catch Challenge. Since 2020, it is called Global Challenge Arena as a part of Pokémon GO Fest.
For completing each task there are special bonus rewards available worldwide. In 2018 and 2019, the reward was called Ultra Bonus. Since 2020, it is called Ultra Unlock.
