- Gimmighoul was first revealed in a teaser event that took place after Community Day Classic: Dreaming of Dratini. After spinning a golden PokéStop, it starts to follow the Trainer, instructing them to collect coins.

- Gimmighoul is the first and only Pokémon that cannot be evolved with Candy.
