Trivia[]

  • Genesect cannot be traded.
  • According to the datamine, Genesect debut event was planned only during local time 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 22nd, 2020.[10] In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Niantic decided to extend the event from March 20th, 2020, 8 a.m. to March 26th, 2020, 10 p.m. in attempt to make this event available and playable for as many Trainers globally as possible.[11]
  • Fire-, Water-, and Electric-type Techno Blast could not be taught to the respective Genesect form with an Elite Charged TM until August 16th, 2022, months after they were originally featured in Raid Battles.[12] Normal-type Techno Blast was also added to Genesect then as well, despite not being featured in any past events.
