Trivia
- In Generation VI of core series games, Froakie was a Starter Pokémon and now, in Pokémon GO, though it is not official, it is considered a Kalos-region Starter Pokémon in players community.
- During the early time of Kalos release, Froakie was reported to have a very low spawn rate compared with Chespin and Fennekin.[1] Players had expressed concern of not able to complete the Timed Research in Kalos Celebration Event due to its absurdly low appearance.[2] It is presumably because the extreme popularity of Froakie's final evolution - Greninja, which is the rank 1 Pokémon in the Pokémon of the Year vote, one of the most popular by Ash Ketchum in anime, and a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros.
