The Chester Heritage Festival was a festival that was held at Chester in Cheshire, England from July 22nd, 2017 through July 23, 2017. This event coincided with the 1st Anniversary and Pokémon GO Fest events.
Trainers were able to take part in a number of fun trail activities, with in-game and real-world surprises. Accessible for the first time to the public in 20 years, the Castle was home to a few Gyms and a number of PokéStops, meaning Trainers were able to enjoy some digital raids, alongside some historic ones!
Trainers were able to visit four historic camps across the city to find characters from across the city's history. When encountered, those characters would stamp each Trainers limited edition Pokémon GO PassPort which were given out to Trainers on the day. This was the first and only event in the world where Pokémon GO PastPorts have been available.
There were 10 specific PokéStops to locate in order to find the answer to questions on a special Pokémon GO explorers map. Upon completion of all 10, Trainers were rewarded with a limited edition official Pokémon GO History Explorer certificate.
