Trivia

  • In core series Pokémon games, Abra was hard to catch as it would teleport after one move unless he was placed under a stopping effect like Sleep. To mimic this, in Pokémon GO, Abra tends to escape and flee when Trainer tries to catch it much more than other Pokémon.
  • Shiny Abra was accidentally made available on the first day of Pokémon GO Fest 2019 Chicago.[1][2]
  • The Abra Community Day planned on March 15th, 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
    • It was rescheduled to April 25th and had a duration of six hours. Niantic called it as Community Day: Play at Home Edition.[4]
